Curriculum Activities

"New Standard Group of Schools and Collages, Raebareli " an English medium, co-educational Senior Secondary School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Using English as the medium of instruction, the entire establishment works only with the sole objective of providing wholesome education to a student.

The school advocates the system of an integrated curriculum in which a unit/topic is taught across different disciplines using a specific set of methods. This helps our children to make connections across the curriculum. Activities, project work, presentations, educational trips, guest lectures are an indispensable part of our curriculum so that the concept formation is strong and lasting. The framework also keeps in mind the ‘weeks’ of the school which are celebrated every month like environment, literary, cultural, science, cosmic, a week, etc. The syllabus for the subjects is as prescribed by C.B.S.E.

Here the teacher becomes the group coordinator initiating work, nurturing students without the phobia of examinations and homework. The development of oral and written expression is emphasized. Home assignments are not a carry-over of classwork but oriented towards honing individual talents.

Co-Curricular Activities

Co-Curricular Activities — are a vital part of the curriculum it gives a winning edge and enhances the personality development. We provide a wide range of these activities like Western Music and Dance, Indian Music & Dance, Western and Indian Instrumental music, etc.

The aims of this curriculum is to achieve the objective of imbibing the Application, Analytical and creative skills in our students.

For the tiny tots, the play-way method of teaching is adopted and individual attention is paid to make learning a pleasurable pursuit. The classes are theme designed so as to provide learning by observation & doing; co-relating knowledge and its application. Wherever possible, extensive use of audio-visual aids and practical demonstrations are also carried out to ensure learning is not a monotonous experience, but an enriching and interesting activity.

School also believes in inculcating education therefore there are arrangements to cater to the special needs of children which includes students counseling at all levels pertaining to all such needs as the children may face

Pedagogy and Teaching Practices

The pedagogical approach is learner-centered. An array of teaching strategies is employed that foster curiosity and actively engage children throughout the learning process. The interactive teaching methods not only aid in understanding concepts better but also provide rich learning experiences to the child and allow each child to explore his talent and develop his potential.

In designing the age-appropriate activities as part of the Teaching-learning process, a careful balance is achieved between individual and group sessions, thus enabling the child to develop self-dependence and the skills of collaboration and communication.

"New Standard Group of Schools and Collages, Raebareli" believes the incomplete development of the children. Keeping this in mind the school has catered for an array of sports and games, besides other facilities. Thus, the school has partnered with excelling sports academies to provide technically planned lessons and modules to develop and enhance a concrete skill set among the children.

Use of Technology Smart Classrooms

Technology and education have been used together with the right reason and vision. Technology has been woven into the curriculum in the form of Smart Classes on a total solution basis. Students are introduced to digital technology right from the beginning of their careers. The modules are designed to suit the needs of the students and the content is mapped to the curriculum. The teachers, who are well-versed with the system, ensure that technology is integrated well into the lessons to help in teaching concepts thoroughly. It is also employed for recapitulation, oral tests, and remedial teaching.

The School has also established a guided career counseling programme for the high school students. They are given guidance on study-abroad education and on preparation for admission in leading colleges and professional institutes in the country and abroad.
